I have joint custody with my son's father. He lives in pa and I live in IL. The custody agreement is filed in Pa. As per our agreement he has primary physical custody and I get my son for the summer. This year he has to have bypass surgery and wants me to take my son not only for the summer but also for the school year of 08-09. He said that he was told that I just have to draw up papers saying that we agree that he will live with me for the time period of 1 year, and both of us sign it and file it with the domestic relations office in Pa and he then is agreeing to suspend my paying child support while my son is with me. Is this something that I can write up or do I have to have a laywer do it? I go to pick him up on friday and would like to do this asap.
