I would very much appreciate some advice. I'm from Mexico and 5 years ago a park ranger gave me this ticket for MIP (I was 18 at the time) in a state park in Florida but I had to fly back to Mexico a few days after that. Now I see in the county sheriff's office webpage that there's an active warrant against me:

1 Misdemeanor Count(s) of 843.15.1b
BAIL-SECURED BOND - FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE

Bond Amount: $150

What does this mean? That if I contact the sheriff's office I will only have to pay the bond amount plus whatever fine for the failure to appear misdemeanor? I live in Mexico now but I don't want to be unable to visit the US anymore. Is there a way to pay the amount I owe from here and just forget this whole episode? Is there a way to do all this without a lawyer? I read this other guy's case in this forum where he made a plea in absentia and paid up from his country of residence and then applied for Arrest Record Expungement but got turned down. I don't want the same to happen to me. Please, any advice is welcome.

I appreciate you took the time to answer. But see, I'm willing to pay what I owe but I don't want to contact them and then have to pay and then be denied entrance to the US or in the worst case, find out I actually owe a ridiculous amount of money and be extradited for not paying it on time because in addition to the fine I understand that sometimes they also make you serve some time in jail because the bond gets forfeited or something like that. Do you think if I contact them they could do that to me (extradition)?
