Sunday I was caught shoplifting $14 worth of items. I was taken to the office and had to sign 2 forms. One with my information and the total value of the items, and one saying that I would not go into that store for a year. No police were called and I was not arrested. Since no police were called or anything, I was not issued a citation or anything to appear in court at the time of the incident. It took less than 10 minutes and then he let me go. My question is, what is the most probable thing that may happen to me? I know every one and incident is treated differently, but since it was my first time being caught, I was wondering what is the most likely thing that will happen to me. And how long will all of this take?
