I was employed at major communication corporation, on the 6 of July, 2011 I was terminated for the exact infraction a Co-worker was written up for one day later. Is this legal? If not, what are my options... Ive spoken to a lawyer, who informed me unless someone outright called me a racial slur, racial discrimination would be hard to prove. Do I have something worth pursuing?
 
Not based on what you've posted. There are many reasons, all legal, why an employer might discipline two employees differently for the same infraction. And even if you did at one time, if this happened fifteen months ago the statute of limitations has closed.
