I filed a gender discrimination complaint with the EEOC in February 2013. The investigator (who has been extremely helpful and responsive) said as of now my case is in his Top 10 and should be completed in the next few months.
Is this a good or bad sign?

Your guess would be as accurate as mine.

At least you know that you'll get an answer by summer.

All I know is that MOST complainants get letters to sue, not large cash awards.

It's neither good nor bad. Anywhere between 18 months and 2 years is fairly standard in my experience.

It's not a good or bad sign. It just means the investigator should complete the case in the next few months - have "some type" of answer for you.
