Fight against stop sign ticket

I recently got ticket for Stop sign. Afternoon time When I was going to pick my kid from the Preschool. When I took left turn, I saw cop standing left side in the shade of the house in front of the first house with his parked bike. After passing him, when I was checking in my mirror I saw white light(which I realized later that it was the mirror reflection of his bike because our vechiles were opposite to each other). That's why I stopped my car and I saw that he came to me walking but he didn' t say anything to me. I told him that I follow the rules. He said to me that he didn't say anything but my question then why he came to me Then he said that I didn't say anything and he went back to his bike which is parked on the left side and then he parked his bike behind my car(right side). And then again he came to me and ask for my license and insurance paper and went back to his bike, at this point my kid preschool 2car(school friend) they passed me and they both saw me. He didn't tell me why he is giving me the ticket at this point?
Then he again came back to me to return my driving license and insurance paper and then he told me that you were not fully stop and I have a recording but he didn't mention that in my ticket.
After this incident I went back to this location and I was shocked that there is no stop sign on this intersection.
On my ticket he wrote me the previous intersection which is more than 300 feet far from his location where he was standing.
And its uphill and high fencing, its impossible to see the last intersection from this point.I have 9years of clean driving history. This was my first encounter with the officer.
He didn't pullover my vechile and i stopped my car by mistake then it means its a stop sign violation.
Please Can anyone help me how can I fight this ticket?

You can go to court and tell your story to the judge.
We are an unofficial website with no authority over the state of California and what their police do there.

What code section was cited on the ticket?

Ultimately, if you think you did not commit the offense you can challenge the citation by going to court. In CA you can start by inquiring about a trial by written declaration. If you lose, you can then ask for a court trial by way of a trial de novo. But, if you lose one or both of those, you may not have the option of traffic school to prevent an ongoing insurance hit for 36 months or so, so you might want to consider that as well.
