10 months ago, my employer forced me to resign due to allegations of fraud brought on me by the client company I was crontracting for. By my understanding sometime in October someone used my work computer to obtain a merchant card over the internet. Completely unaware of the ongoing internal investigtion, sometime in December I was approached by my employer and asked to go into a Conference room where there were to Pvt. Detectives hired by the client company. Immediately I was asked questions about my credit, criminal history and other personal affects. In the end all while being recorded I then asked the main question for the reason I was in the room, and that was that I was being accussed of illegally obtaining an employees information and trying to commit fraud.

Crazy huh?

You can try to sue but I doubt you would prevail. Wrongful termination is termination that violates law, cba or employment contract. I dont see that in your post either. By the way its lawful to terminate someone for suspected theft.

Based on the information on your post, you do not have a case for wrongful termination. To be considered wrongful (illegal) under the law, there must be a specific law which was violated by your termination. Wrongful termination does not mean that you were termed for something you didn't do.

Likewise, their making an accusation to you does not constitute defamation.
