I have several problems that need to be fixed. I contacted landlord and he says he will get around to it. It has been over a month and nothing fixed. What do I need to do to have him fix the problems?

There is very little LEGALLY that you can do, UNLESS the items are dangerous or injurious to human health or habitation.

If your issues qualify (or if you believe they do), contact your local building inspections department or health department.

Don't hold your breath, while either one decides to act!

Some tenants get results by sending POLITE letters (via certified mail, return receipt requested) to their landlord detailing the problems and concerns, regarding the rental unit.

It isn't unusual for tenants to send two or three such letters before the landlord responds.

Make sure the letters are polite and aren't demanding.
