My friend ask me to find the answer for him.He rented an illegal appt in nassau county the tenant doesnt have a lease or paid rent receipt now the tenant doesnt want to leave, how can he evict the person ligaley. thanks

He has to take him to court.
It'll take time (a couple of months), and he might get fined.
Because the unit is illegal, he won't get the back rent, if any is owed.

He could offer the tenant cash to leave.
It is a risky proposition.
But, some folks do it.
