I was at my job for 2 months im a bartender there was working ft to pt n so on. last week a guy in the kitchen cursed me off called me dumb and every name in book while management was standing right there n said nothing by the point i couldnt take it anymore i went back at him screaming that was one incident. The second was this saturday i was working found out we had gotten new manager i worked by my self all night then he tell me are you going to tip me out i go umm what mean while he helped in service bar maybe 15 min all night out of a 10 hour shift so i gave him 20 bucks n he was pissed n starting yelling ta me i walked away so i call sunday for my schedule its not made yet. so i recive a voicemail today from new manager on how there laying me off bc they need to put the ft employess on and until season comes its not busy enough and then theyll be more then happy to have me back. now mind you i was the ft employee and was the longest bartender there so i call him back and say im a little confused with his voice mail b.c im a fulltime and always have been his repsone was i was told u couldnt work tues-fri i go thats not true who toldu that he studdered and couldnt anwser so i had asked for my checks to be ready and a letter saying why im getting laid off. i go into pick up my checks and get the letter and it now states i was fired for giving away free drinks and not rinigng them up and accuses me of stealing!! which is a croc of crap i have never stole in my life. so do i have a case what do i need to do. i have never been accussed of this in my entire life all bc i wouldnt split my tips that i worked for with this manager and the owner also signed the paper n to top it off they shorted my last pay check4 1/2 hours and mind u my last pay check from them bounced!
