I need some advice. I live in Nevada. I signed on with a temp. agency and they got me a wonderful job. I got through all the interviews and they picked five of us out of sixteen people and I was one of the five. I am supposed to start on May 7th. Well, they require a drug test which is usually an oral swab. I know two other people who took the swab test, and actually smoked marijuana less than two days before the test and still got the job. When I went for my drug test yesterday they said they were out of swabs so they sent me to the lab. Since I don't take drugs I thought I was safe so I just went in and took the test.I haven't smoked marijuana since high school about six years ago but my two roommates are always in the living room smoking it. I went to take the test which was a UA and I tested positive for THC in the rapid test even though I haven't even done it! They said they were going to send it to the lab for further results. I haven't smoked in about six years like I said and I have never tested positive for THC on a pre placement test ever. I was so shocked and disappointed. I feel that it is unfair that I have such a thorough testing when everyone else got a swab test. I was wondering if there was anything I can do to possibly still get this job? Can I dispute this in any way since I was treated differently than everyone else? Thank you and any advice would be appreciated!!!
