I was recently let got from my position as a GM of a hotel in westchester NY and was told it was due to subpar guest scores and issues with hotel operations. Here is my question,
On Dec 8th 2010 I suffered a sever injury to my right thigh muscle, tore it right off my knee and had to have major surgery. I was advised after the operation that i should stay at home for at least 8 weeks and then a total recovery time of 6 months after that, my direct superiors were all notified of this. I of course did not listen to that and was back at work 10 days after the surgery. Now my ex property requires allot of hands on work ( room inspections, property walk thrus, working front desk etc) that because of the accident I just could not perform, no matter how hard I tried. I had a review by a corporate trainer in Januray who wrote in his assesment that the injury had severly limited me but even with that issue I was doing a great job and well on my way to becoming a fine GM. I also had an issue with the restaurant owner within the hotel. He got hold of my corporate CC# and charged over $3000 worth of work to his restaurant without notfing me and signed off on these charges, telling the company that performed the work that he was and authorized signor on this card. When I let my superiors know of this I was " it will be handled " and to not discuss it with the restaurant owner. There are some other issues but I will not bring them up now. Not sure if anythng can be done for me or if I should even try but figured it can't hurt to ask

You could speak with an attorney.
That is your best course of action.
The initial consultation is often free.
