The property manager of my friends apartment complex is trying to get them evicted. The property manager claims to have photos of them breaking the lease. They recieved a detainer warrent and a continuance for a second court date. Can they ask for discovery of this evidence and any statements any witnessess might make? If so, how would this be accomplished, and who should the request get sent to?

Why would they desire discovery in this type of case?

If they're innocent, let the manager put on his case in court. They would then assert their defense. Pictures prove nothing, if they can't be authenticated. Pictures are easy to doctor. Pictures can be staged and made to appear anyway you desire.

What lease covenants are your friends alleged to have broken?
