NY AG Leticia James: sanctimonious, self righteous, alleged slickster, porcine critter!

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte sent a letter Tuesday to Attorney General Pam Bondi and deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche alleging that New York Attorney General Letitia James "falsified records" to secure a home loan on a property in Virginia as her "principal residence" in 2023, when she was serving as New York's prosecutor.

"On August 17, 2023, Ms. James granted Ms. Shamice Thompson-Hairston power of attorney to make a Virginia property her 'principal residence,'" Pulte wrote. "And on August 30 and 31, 2023, through her attorney, Ms. James purchased this property in Norfolk, VA. In a Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Form 3047 and in mortgage documents, she reaffirmed this would be her primary residence, despite being a statewide public office holder in the state of New York at that same time and primarily residing in the state of New York."

According to the New York Post, James's transaction took place weeks before she began her civil fraud trial against the Trump Organization on the grounds that it over-inflated the values of its properties — a case that ended in a $454 million judgment.

Pulte's letter went on to note that in 1983, James and her father signed a mortgage stating they were "husband and wife in order to secure a home mortgage. Then, on May 4, 2000, Ms. James was listed again as husband and wife' in documents. While this was a long time ago, it raises serious concerns about the validity of Ms. James representations on mortgage applications."

Pulte outlined that James could be liable for criminal charges ranging from "wire fraud" to "mail fraud," "bank fraud," "false statements to a financial institution," "and/or other relevant state and federal laws."

Since his time in the White House, President Donald Trump has lashed out at the New York AG.

On Sunday, Trump posted to Truth Social that James was "a totally corrupt politician," and "should resign from her position as New York State Attorney General, IMMEDIATELY."

"Everyone is trying to MAKE NEW YORK GREAT AGAIN, and it can never be done with this wacky crook in office," he added.

Droves of conservatives relished at the prospect of New York's Attorney General Letitia James having to "eat her own words" after the Trump administration referred her for potential federal prosecution over alleged mortgage fraud.

Critics quickly seized on James' own declaration that "no one is above the law" after news broke Tuesday that she had been hit with a criminal referral for committing alleged financial fraud to secure her own favorable property loans.

James blasted out the now-infamous phrase when her office opted to target the Trump Organization for over-inflating the values of many of its properties in a civil fraud trial that ended with a $454 million judgment.

Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators were quick to boast that "karma" was now coming for the AG — gloating that "the tables have now turned."

"No one is above the law!" New York congresswoman Elise Stefanik blasted out on X.

You're next, big shot!!!!

That is something that Trump was not afforded. A corrupt Judge Arthur Engoron and a tainted jury pool in NYC. James deserves nothing more.

Fate regularly points her fickle fingers at those who erroneously believe the words sung by Hammer (too legit to quit) and upends many little, apple carts.

Karma catches up to those who bring hurt, harm, or disaster to others.

Just so we're on the same page about this: Everybody in this thread so far is in favor of James being prosecuted for the same crimes that Trump committed, right?

Not exactly. Trump didn't do what he was accused of. It took a novel approach to the law (never before done), a corrupt judge and prosecutor to get a conviction.

How many times did James say, "Nobody is above the law"? And now we find out that she actually committed mortgage fraud, bank fraud, and wire fraud before she prosecuted Trump in state court. What she has been referred for are Federal crimes.

Trump was tried and convicted. You say he didn't do it.
James is accused. You say she did it.
