Premises Liability I broke my wrist at the apartment complex where I live, can I sue them

I suspect that what you really want to know is whether you have a shot to win a money judgment in your favor. That depends on the details of where in the complex it happened, how exactly you ended up breaking your risk and what the landlord did or didn't do that was the primary cause of the injury. The complex will only be liable if the management team was somehow negligent and that negligence was the proximate cause of your injury.

I was walking my dog at about 8.30 pm. I take her to the grass area outside in our complex. She was going potty and some friends waved hello and I waved back, I took a step backwards where the grass makes a drop down, when foot hit this area I fell backwards and put my hand down to catch myself. This is when I broke my wrist. There is an area along the grass about 10 feet long that goes down, it is not level with the rest of the grass. I did not say anything at this time, I was healing from being married to a narcissist for 8.5 years and was not doing well. I have not said anything the past year for fear that Samantha Sierra would retaliate against my brother. Ms. Sierra is suppose to be the apartment manager. She says she has people watching all the time, so she knows what is going on. This person she is talking about told her I got wrapped up in my dogs leash and this is why I fell, this is not true.

You had an unfortunate accident that wasn't the fault of the management/owner of the complex.

You will note that I edited out the name of the person you mentioned in my quote of your post. I suggest you edit their name out as well.

Ground, by its very nature is uneven.

By your own admission, you weren't looking where you were going and fell.

There does not appear to be any negligence on the part of management.

Guess you should stick to walking forwards.
And I am saying this as someone who has balance issues.

I was healing from being married to a narcissist for 8.5 years and was not doing well.
Not legally relevant. Seriously.

If you doubt us strangers on the internet, then get an initial consult with a lawyer. Or several lawyers. If any of them are willing to take on your case on a contingency basis, it's worth a try.

can I sue them

Anyone can sue anyone for anything. I can sue you for making this post.

I was walking my dog at about 8.30 pm.

After dark.

I take her to the grass area outside in our complex.

Highlighted for emphasis.

You knowingly took your dog to an area "outside [your] apartment complex," after dark. Did you have a flashlight with you to check the terrain in which you were walking? Was it an area where you had been before such that you were familiar with the terrain? You fell because you stepped somewhere you apparently weren't looking. Why do you think this was anyone's fault but your own? In particular,
since this happened "outside [your] apartment complex," why would you think your landlord would have any liability?
