If a father signs over rights

If he signed over his rights & there was a step parent adoption, he has no legal right to be allowed to see the child. It's the current parents' decision.

Even though you feel it is not right, I don't see anything illegal here done by your employer based on what you posted. Not right/unfair doesn't always mean illegal. Even if there is no policy against you moving positions, doesn't mean the employer has to move you. They might have an...

    Question About Rite Aid Scam

Agree with the other responders. You need to take more action than just telling the pharmacy they have the wrong person. A lawyer will probably only tell you to do what you can find out yourself by doing a google search on identity theft. You might want to order right away copies of your...

    Rv sale

He may be just telling you he is going to sue hoping you will buy it back but might not follow through with suing. You need to tell him (if you haven't already) that he bought it "as is". If he does sue, then take your "as is" bill of sale to court. You "should" prevail.

    FLSA reclassified

Actually an employer can always classify you non-exempt even if you meet the exempt requirements. You can always be classified as non exempt but you cannot always be classified as exempt unless certain requirements are met.

    Bad Reference

Az. law provides immunity to employers that provide references IF in good faith. (If what they provide is true or they honestly believe to be true.) At this time it seems you do not even know what they MIGHT be saying about you.

I can understand you wanting/needing the money but it seems this person is someone you really need to stay away from for your safety & sanity Also, as army judge noted, you have the problem of trying to collect any judgment that might be awarded you. Good luck to you.

Let go of Internship due to new law, sign over liability?

Some of my posts are "observations" also. :) If the OP thinks there is a binding contract, the OP can run it by an employment or contract attorney.

Let go of Internship due to new law, sign over liability?

I was just saying I didn't see where unpaid interns were illegal/banned in Ca. I can't argue with your statement though the OP does mention a contract termination that apparently isn't up yet. However, many times when an OP says contract it isn't actually a legally binding written employment...
