There is no wrongful termination here. No law was broken by the employer. You can file for unemployment ins. The state will decide if you qualify. You can also look for other employment.

If they asked for your address, you will probably receive a civil demand letter through the mail. Since no police were called & you pay the civil demand that will probably be the end of it. However, your name (unless you are a minor) might be put in a retail theft data base that member...
It sounds like this was a private sale of a used vehicle. Generally, the vehicle would be sold "as is" -- "buyer beware". You could have/should have had it checked out by a mechanic you trust before buying it.
Yes. I don't see where the employer is asking you to do anything illegal. You do whatever your employer tells you to do. (unless you have a binding contract to the contrary - doubtful)
If it was a joint account, each account holder can make withdrawals, make deposits, close the account....... all without the other account holder's signature.

Agree that it is best not to resign. You generally will not get unemployment ins. (though in some cases being forced to resign might be considered a firing - "resign or be fired").
Also agree re filing a wage claim for your unpaid wages.
