I agree with army judge re reporting the accident to your own ins. co. It is always best to do so no matter who is believed to be at fault. Sometimes it can save you a lot of hassle.
I'm not saying you can't do it the way suggested by adjusterjack though.
Since you have no ins., file a claim with the other party's ins. co. if you haven't already. There is always the possibility that you might have to end up suing.
You might want to talk to/discuss with a personal injury attorney.
It would not be illegal to terminate you for attendance due to internet problems. If you would get terminated, file for UI - the state will decide if you qualify. Follow the instructions in the handbook.
