    No, they do not have to give you a full time position. There is no legal requirement/guideline in NJ that working so many hrs. requires that they give you a full time position. Making someone full time is generally based on company policy or practice.

    I worked for a life ins. co. Some of these terminal illness rider/clause pay outs can be taxable. It can depend on state law -- contact a tax advisor in your area.
