Check issued by car dealer in error?

It sounds to me like they mailed you someone else's check in error. That could happen if someone typed a check using a customer number and transposed numbers so that they used your number by mistake. Of course they should have caught it but hey, humans make mistakes.

I don't know what to do

"why is his forged bill of sale even being considered a legal document" Who says it is? Did you sign anything at all with him? If not, and you have title then yes the vehicle belongs to you. Do you know where it is? Do you have keys?

Texas Can a company have more than one Section 125 plan

Thank you sir. I have pretty thick skin. I'm not too worried about it. This same lady used to represent the duck and there was some flap when we did not let her come in and sell that. But then her friend who was bitchy about it is generally bitchy about most everything.

Texas Can a company have more than one Section 125 plan

Thanks Elle, I was hoping you would respond here. I really don't want to do this but trying not to hurt feelings-bleh.

Texas Can a company have more than one Section 125 plan

No its not the duck, but similar. I could have already told her to go away, but her husband worked here for years, and she's friends with some top people. I'm looking for the way to tell her to go away that is completely out of my hands. "Sorry I don't think the IRS will allow that" would be...

I understand, just doing some preliminary research.

Texas Can a company have more than one Section 125 plan

So we have an insurance sales rep pitching their products and they are telling us that we can save money with them and it would be "another 125 plan." I asked if it would be the same plan year as our current 125 plan. They said no it would really be better if you do it at a different time so it...

    Drs note Discrimination

If the president is okay with your dog, then don't worry about what the neighbors think or what kind of looks they give you. You plan on moving soon anyway. You're worrying about things that might happen. You can't plan for every possible event in life that might happen.

Father wants to sign his rights over, I’m for it but how do we go about getting it done

You have 18 (plus) years ahead of you. You cannot see into the future to know what will happen. Even if you don't think you "need" the money, someday you might and it may allow your child opportunities that might not be otherwise affordable, such as college, travel etc. Not only that but he...

    Workers Comp??

The only way to find out for sure is to file a claim. The first thing to find out is if the restaurant carries work comp. In TX it's optional.

    Unlicensed, uninspected home

I agree the best way to "get her out of there" is to help her find another place.

Social Services wants me to pay back a 28 year old tax rebate, can I fight this?

Wow, that's pretty crazy that they have the time and resources to pursue something from so long ago. If it were me I would send a nicely worded written request for documentation proving the amount due and see what kind of response you get. If they persist and insist that you pay it, it probably...

How do i get my security deposit back?

You're probably better off that you are no longer on the lease. If he should stop paying the rent, or if he should damage the place, you are no longer responsible. You can ask the landlord what happened to the deposit, and my guess would be that it was rolled over into the new lease. I don't...

    Sold used car

If she never took the car then you really aren't out any money. You can try to withhold her money and hope she doesn't take you to small claims court, but it doesn't seem worth it to me.

    Sold used car

Right or wrong in this case probably doesn't matter UNLESS you have impeccable documentation(contract) and you are willing to take her to small claims court and THEN if you obtain a judgment then you still have to try and collect what she owes. SO your best bet is to work it out with her. Now...

Vehicle totalled. Buyer's, or Seller's, insurance company liable?

The buyer and/or his insurance is responsible. Doesn't matter if he has title in hand. The buyer sent the money to the lienholder to payoff the balance, so there is no scam on the part of the seller. It is not unusual for it to take several weeks to get a title from a bank once the loan is paid...

My father wants to kick me out of the house and take custody of my child

I will also add that at your age, your parents are not required to provide you with housing, internet or a car to drive. Or anything else.
