    Help!

After reading your post again it appears that you are correct Monday 6:30 to the following Monday 6:30 is 7 days. Do as she suggested and call her lawyer. It's her dime.

    Help!

I would expect a week to be 7 days not 8. But regardless if you know the co-parent is going to be difficult and involve lawyers, the one day is not worth squabbling over.

    Wrongfully terminated

It was a little bit hard to read your post the way it rambles on and skips around so many subjects. Much of what you describe may seem unfair but it's not illegal. Some of it may be discriminatory, but would probably be very difficult to prove. The only real issue I see is when you say you...

    Boyfriend Owner of Property

The cancer and/or the meds will affect his behavior. You don't have any legal rights to stay if he doesn't want you there. If you can't work it out with him talk to his doctor about arranging some other type of care for him.

The check will bounce back to the check cashing business. So you did not access YOUR money. You have now fraudulently taken THEIR money.

    Auto loan straw purchase

You may have been a guarantor rather than a co-signer. If that is the case then your name would not be on the title. Call or go to the bank and/or dealership and obtain copies of everything you signed and read those documents. If the car is in her name and she was the person driving the vehicle...

    Division of Property

In most states if their is a loan on the vehicle, there is a lien on the title and title transfer cannot take place without the loan being paid off, so it isn't as simple as him just getting in put into his name. He will have to take out a bank loan on his own to pay off the existing loan.

    Insurance benefits

A $510.00 contribution to your insurance is pretty large. I wouldn't complain at all if I were you.

Mental Health Thread #10-Fall is Coming

Exactly! My granddaughter mentioned that her Dad had taken the whole family to eat at an expensive restaurant 3 times recently and the bill was $200 each time. Then I hear that he can't afford his $300.00 rent.

As imperfect as my family is, reading some of the stuff on these forums makes me appreciate them so much.

Can i get in trouble for moving out at 17 without parental permisson?

Leaving at 17 could cause all sorts of trouble for you and your boyfriend.Tough it out for 12 more months. Keep your head down, stay out of trouble and do your best to get along with step mom. You're certainly not in a unique situation. My guess would be that a large percentage of teens "can't...

    FMLA documents "deleted"

The provider wouldn't matter. The good thing is that since she was terminated she has a better chance of qualifying for unemployment.

    Vehicle ownership transfer.

If you are unable to finance it, then you can't own it. Plain and simple. If you are making her payments, then you should consider them rental payments.

    FMLA Investigation

The relationship is damaged. The manager tried to lie and tell the state that he quit so he wouldn't get unemployment, among other things. He was actually ready to go back to work two weeks after his stroke with the accommodation of a regular height chair and desk rather than working at a...

    FMLA Investigation

An update on my brother's case. (He was fired after having a stroke but he qualified for FMLA) He found out that what the agency will do is conduct an investigation and if they find that his rights were violated, they will issue him a right to sue letter. Part of his application asks him what he...

The store could have gotten into serious trouble for having a child "working". That was a very poor decision on your part. Now just imagine if dozens of employees were to bring their child to work for "just an hour". Craziness.

Unique Slip and Fall Case, Biffed it in Orlando Airport Burger King

Anything can happen if you get in front of a jury. Anything. Insurance companies know very well the cost of going to trial and they know very well the vagaries of juries. They may offer to settle something just to make it go away. Personally, if I were a juror, I would have a hard time assigning...
