Previous owner didn't register vehicle and isn't listed on title seller gave.

"if I can get the very first owner listed on the title to have in writing, and notarized, that the sale fell through with the man who owes the fees" and that would be a lie so I don't see any reason why someone would want to do that.

Jury Trial Waiver - Class and Collective Action Waiver

If you want to sue them it will have to be you alone(not a group of employees) and you will not get a jury. A trial will be in front of a judge only.

Previous owner didn't register vehicle and isn't listed on title seller gave.

You purchase an insurance policy for 1.5 times the value of the vehicle. If a previous owner ever pops up and makes a claim of ownership of the vehicle then they get paid from the insurance policy. You have a hearing with the state and explain how you got the vehicle and you have to show that...

He might be able to sell it to a junk yard for a few bucks.

    Question about my judgement

The way the question is worded it appears that he didn't pay anything yet.

sister gave mom car, mom died, wants it back from stepdad.

The only thing that matters is whose name is on the face of the title at the DMV. Intentions and wishes and who needs the car the most are all irrelevant. Unless sister in law is trying to claim that her signature was forged on that transfer and she will have to prove that. Sorry sister. Once...

    Paypal seller protection

It is always a red flag when a person requests to have an item shipped to a different address. You got scammed and it is not Paypal's fault.

Unequal pay for same (and more) work

"She told me that I have been "severely underpaid" for all that I do & "a person can only be taken advantage of for so long." Then I was offered $11.50/hr., however, what about the time of being taken advantage of with severely underpaid wages" Nothing in that entitles you to any additional...

    Harassing neighbor

Smile and wave hello. It will confuse the heck out of them. This kind of person wants a reaction. Don't give them what they want.

Mental Health Thread #10-Fall is Coming

Trying to stay focused on being positive, happy and thankful this season, but darn it people are making it difficult. We called to see when we could have the grandkids over the weekend and Dad says " whenever you want, we don't have any plans." How do you not have plans for Christmas Day with...

Dealership flagged me as a straw purchase

If they had any reason to suspect that you may have been attempting to do a straw purchase, then they were correct in reporting it as such. There would be no reason and no value to them to do so. Other than a little bit of hassle in explaining yourself, I don't see where you suffered any harm.

    Used Car Lemon-No Emissions

The simplest solution would be to ask them to give you your money back and take the car back. Try that first. When they refuse, then you look into other options.

Many people threaten to sue and few do.

    Text and or Pics

I kind of like it when someone threatens. Mostly because I know it's usually just talk, and/or I know that I haven't done anything to be scared of. My usual response is along the lines of "take your best shot" or "Oh well, you gotta do what you think you gotta do." Now if someone at work was...

FMLA leave threatened to lose full time status.

I've never seen a hard and fast rule. Our handbook says "must work 30 hours or more on a regular basis." So it may be open to interpretation by your employer.

    Cohabitation

Or if his expenses increased, would you expect your support to be reduced. Of course not. His expenses and how they are paid is irrelevant to you and to child support.

FMLA leave threatened to lose full time status.

My apologies I was reading the limited hours as a temporary situation.

FMLA leave threatened to lose full time status.

It is the insurance company that only covers those who are considered full-time(30hrs or more). However as long as you have FMLA time to cover the hours missed, then your actual hours worked don't matter, they still have to consider you full-time as far as insurance benefits.

Mental Health Thread #10-Fall is Coming

Funny story. Selected an item at a conv. store clearly marked $1.99. It rang up $2.29. I showed the clerk the label. She said that's the date. We went back and forth a little with her insisting "that's just how they mark the date" and me insisting "that is a dollar sign and obviously a price...

Civil Suit Over Vehicle Deposit (PA)

Well you say that your relative was served with the suit not you. But since there is a suit, I don't think you should try to resolve it now by sending a check. In my opinion, that window of opportunity has past. But then I'm no lawyer. I suggest you and your relative should visit one asap.
