child support and moving out of state

You do not have to pay back child support. Check your court orders and see if there are any restrictions on where you can reside with your children. Also check the details regarding the father's visitation and transportation. You can't do anything which is contrary to or will interfere with the...

Cancelled purchase of new vehicle order

Check your paperwork first and see if cancellations is addressed. $2500 seems excessive. Ask them what legal right they think they have to keep that amount or did they just pull a number out of a hat. If what you ordered is a specialty custom order that they normally do not carry in inventory...

I was pushed at work and yelled at.

I would not expect that they automatically fire someone for a "push". You don't say that you fell or were injured so it doesn't seem like it was a violent push. I'm not saying it wasn't inappropriate, but not necessarily to the level of firing someone.

lies on top of lies at dealership after 9k they took my vehicle

Way too much information here to really follow. You really need to get an attorney involved.

Ex boyfriend got me a car

The only way you will get any money back is if he decides to gift you some amount out of the goodness of his heart.

Is it worth paying to have an employment separation agreement checked?

I suspect that somewhere in your FSA documentation you were "told" what your rights were upon termination. I hear from people all the time "nobody ever told me that" and "that" is clearly spelled out in the handbook that they signed an acknowledgement that they read and understood. Adjusterjack...

Requested Accomodations but Terminated by Illimination of Position

What you would have to try to prove is that they terminated you because of your disability and not because the business is struggling financially. Your request for accommodation to working part-time may or may not be considered a reasonable accommodation. Don't know enough about the job etc...

Worker's comp after being fired or qui

Thanks Elle. We're hoping for the best but trying to be prepared for the worst. We'll be okay without any WC income, just don't want to have to pay for a surgery if it comes to that. For us it will come down to if his Dr says he's not healthy enough to work 14 hour days in 100+ temps, and if...

Yes you're right, I'm just not sure if he will do it. Thanks.

Worker's comp after being fired or qui

Makes a lot of sense except there is one Dr that handles their work comp and he hardly ever takes anyone off work. At best he tries to put them on light duty or partial days and the company ignores it. "we don't have light duty and we need you to work all day". Ugh. They don't seem to understand...

Material handling. Mostly with forklift, but some heavy lifting as well.

Worker's comp after being fired or qui

Ok thanks. It's about my husband. He's currently being treated for a work-related shoulder injury and rehab isn't working so we expect he will probably need surgery. A completely unrelated health issue may prompt them to fire him for missing work, or he may need to quit.

Worker's comp after being fired or qui

What happens with a worker's comp claim if the employee is fired or quits (nothing related to the injury)

    Employee accident using personal vehicle

I agree that it should be covered by your business insurance policy.

What did they say when you asked them?

    Last paycheck

You can bet that they will. Whether they "can" (I assume you mean can they legally) depends on what you signed for the loans.

    Need help

How long has it been? In TX we provide a customer with a 60 day temporary license plate. Used cars can sometimes take that long to register, although the norm is usually 15 - 30 days.

    Car down payment refund

Your insurance company should request documentation to support their claim of 22,000. The documentation should show that you financed $16,000. The difference, less interest should be paid directly to you from the insurance company. Talk to your insurance company. Send them your contract showing...

Mental Health Thread #10-Fall is Coming

It would be an interesting statistic to see how many times on this forum somebody writes "I can't afford an attorney."
