Florida has a law that allows for non compete agreements. Florida’s Noncompete Statute: “Reasonable” or “Truly Obnoxious?”. I suggest you read that link. That said it is fair because you agreed to it. You could have, at the time of hire, read it and decided not to go to work for that company.
