    Criminal Trials, Hearings No Prosecutor

How exactly did you file stalking charges and how did it get before the judge? I was going to write a description of the entire civilian complaint process in NJ but decided not to. Instead read the information from the following link: LSNJLAW - Resolving Disputes Through Private Citizen...

Buyer indicates that he wants to use a Quit Claim Deed

Correct. I left out the word you as in you don't get the money..

    Homicide, Murder, Manslaughter Without Prejudice?

You quoted the article correctly (the opinion says). It was the author that was incorrect.

Buyer indicates that he wants to use a Quit Claim Deed

The only reason that I can think of that a buyer would want a quit claim deed is that it is step one in some sort of scam. You're selling the property yourself with no attorney involved. That would be dangerous. Buyer may get the deed and don't get the money.

    Homicide, Murder, Manslaughter Without Prejudice?

The opinion says nothing of the kind. The denial of Hinshaw's motion for post-conviction relief is what was on appeal. And it was the trial court's denial of the motion that was sent back to the lower court for further proceedings There is no mention in the opinion about retrying Hinshaw for...

    friendship is compensation

It may be a stretch but the zoning officer could consider friendship a benefit.

    leach lines

You are going to have a problem in getting an implied easement by prior use or one by necessity because the use of the leach field was for the benefit of the mobile home which is no longer there. The Indiana courts put it this way: Hysell v. Kimmel, 834 NE 2d 1111 - Ind: Court of Appeals 2005...

    friendship is compensation

Reading that zoning code is like going down a rabbit hole. The only mention of vehicles that might apply does not talk to inoperable. It is contained in what a public PUBLIC NUISANCE is "Includes, but is not limited to, accumulations of garbage and rubbish, infestations, the growing of grass...

    friendship is compensation

Go read the zoning ordinance you were cited for violating and see what the definition of a business is and if friendship is defined as compensation. You probably can look it up online. I'll bet a business is defined as something you do for profit. Also look for an ordinance that addresses...

Is it illegal to raise somebody else's mailbox flag in MA?

The flag is known as the carrier flag. It is to alert the mail carrier that there is outgoing mail in the box. A raised flag doesn't mean you have a mail delivery. So the one who should be ticked off should be your mail carrier.

    Variable Income

There are states (Colorado being one of them) that still allow for lifetime alimony if you were married for 20 years or more or your spouse is disabled. When I was getting divorced (married 25 years in NJ), my wife's attorney asked for lifetime alimony at the last settlement conference before...

Police claimed bus driver saw me not stop

If the bus driver is not in court to identify you and testify, ask that the ticket be dismissed. The officer did not witness the violation. And the officer telling the court what she was told by the driver is hearsay and should not be admissible. But if you wear glasses, were there at the...

It is legal to unlawfully cancel a contract?!

I would find a different lawyer because what you were told is true in certain employment law situations but not in contract lease law unless the contract termination clause says that. And even then notice would have to be given in writing. Is your contract in writing?

City Forcing Me to Pay for Modifications for Their New Water Meter

If the water company is city owned then the city can likely force you to comply or not supply you with water. There would be a city ordinance in the code that spells out the requirements and the reasoning for the change. If the water company is not city owned the answer may be different (with...

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse legal question

Nothing I posted helps OP commit a crime and there is nothing unscrupulous about posting the actual law about intent to distribute (which you and Justblue posted he was guilty of). In my first post I said that to even give a person one pill of your prescribed drugs is a crime. Bottom line is...

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse legal question

You assume that Ryan Smith is OP's real name. And even if it were, there are 279 Ryan Smith's living in Louisiana. Then you have to prove that the Smith that posted here is the person that actually used the device associated with the IP address. I'd say you have an uphill battle...

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse legal question

And what if the person in possession is taking the medication? How do you prove intent to distribute?

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse legal question

There is nothing illegal about you having medication in your house or your car or on your person if it was prescribed to you and is in a prescription container. But giving even one pill to someone else and you have committed a crime.

My ex wife didn't tell me my child passed away

The death of your daughter is certainly a change in circumstance if you are paying court ordered child support. She should have notified you and the court if that is the case.
