No matter how good your work is, the employer is not required to continue with an accommodation that is no longer working for them, as long as they replace it with one that will also qualify as valid.

IMO being fired from one job as a packer is not going to strengthen your claim for disability benefits. Get fired from six jobs as a packer, and maybe (I said maybe, not definitely) you might have something.

I say dispute them now. Personally I think this whole issue of their not being able to bill you is a bunch of BS - if they can give you a list of charges, they can give you a bill. But I don't see any value in waiting.
