proper way to handle a situation where someone contacts your employer over a social media post.

I don't know what happened to my internet bully. I reported the harassment to the FBI cyber-hotline and a little while after that, he went away.

    Concerns at work (covid related)

I'm the one who initially responded to you. As I suspected, I think your expectations are a bit misplaced. Please don't think that by that I mean you are wrong to be upset or scared - I don't. But situations like this are a nightmare for employers, who have to deal with privacy laws protecting...

    Concerns at work (covid related)

I'm not asking this to put you on the defensive, but to get an idea of where you are on your understanding of the laws on this kind of issue. There's no reason why you should be familiar with them - that's not the point of the question. It's to get an idea where to start the baseline of an...

    Letter of termination of contract

Let's be clear. There are limits to what an internet forum can provide. One thing we CANNOT offer is specific legal advice. We CAN offer suggestions, a certain level of guidance, and describe past experiences. But if your expectation was that a message board could substitute for at attorney...

Virginia Out of Network, My bad

It is YOUR responsibility, not theirs, to confirm who is in and out of network for you and what procedures are covered. If you fail to do so, then yes indeed, your bad. FYI, I worked for UHC for five years. They have multiple networks depending on the plan design, the number of insured...

Can I be forced to speak another language for translation purposes?

Just out of curiosity, when you apply for new jobs what are you going to give them as the reason you're no longer in your soon-to-be-former position?

Can I be forced to speak another language for translation purposes?

Don't even imagine, in the situation you've described above, that your boss would be the one to go. What you are suggesting you do is absolutely unacceptable behavior in an employee. You are not owed a raise just because you bring a different skill to the table.

Can I be forced to speak another language for translation purposes?

Yes. And if I were your employer I would not hesitate to fire an employee who attempted to hold me up for a raise by refusing customer service.

    Is this whistleblower and retaliation

Since you won't answer any questions, I am forced to respond based on the information provided. On the basis of the information provided, IMO you do not have a whistleblower claim or any other kind of claim with the possible exception of a workers comp claim.

    DA/Public Defender foul play

YOU get to choose who YOU ignore. You don't get to decide who THEY ignore. That Ignore button only works one way.

    Would this qualify for whistleblowing?

And which regulatory agency oversees how fast the salesman speaks or in what order the extras are stated?, (she asked politely)

Or, alternately, grow up and don't do something so childish. The fact that one can do something doesn't mean that one should.

    Earned time

I should like to offer a caution here: the Earned Paid Leave that is referenced in that section is not vacation or PTO, but what some states call Small Necessities Leave. It is specifically for the purpose of attending child school events, taking an elderly parent or a child to the doctor...
