terminated on false pretenses using fabricated write=ups

I have two questions for you, 1.) Are you a member of a union? 2.) If you had to guess, why do you believe your employer is treating you this way (what is his reason)?

Birth Injury Case - 14 years later

It's a long thread so I may have missed it, but did you ever speak with a med-mal lawyer and get an expert opinion on the extent of the malpractice? You could have the best case in the world, but without that kind of testimony to back you up your odds of winning are slim at best. For your own...

F(16) Trying to get emancipated... Please help!!!

    1. Is it possible to be emancipated even with a record? No. 2. Do I need to actively be out of the house and working at the time I submit my petition or can I do those things after being emancipated? I ask this because after emancipation, my parents have no say in whether I get a job or move...

    Can't pay property tax

Thread re-opened. The answer to your question is to a certain extent state- and municipality-specific. I doubt you will find a law with a bright line: you may go without paying your property tax for x years but not x plus one. This is a question you will have to take up with the tax authorities...

    University Legal y

I cannot imagine a set of circumstances under which any business, university, or other entity would not require that the legal department be involved first, last and in every step along the way. That's not trying to hide something; that's just plain common sense.

If you want to determine whether you have any kind of legal standing to bring suit (which is not clear from your post) please contact your State...

Please advise what to say or not in investigative interview and legal repercussions involved

HR professional and former conductor of such interviews here: It is not at all appropriate, or wise, for us to try to coach her on what to say or not say. Without a great deal more information that a third party can, or should, post here and including information neither you nor she may know...

    No medication without insurance...

My husband takes a medication that cost $600 for three months on our old insurance where it was not on the formulary and we had to self-pay. And at that we had to use the mail order program or it wasn't available at all. Today on our current insurance? $10 a month at our local mom-and-pop pharmacy.

But is it CVS that is requiring the pre-auth? Or is the pre-auth required by the terms of the insurance contract? If, as I suspect, it's in the insurance contract, changing pharmacies is not going to solve the problem.

    PTO Cancellation

I'm willing to bet that somewhere in there, there is a qualifier that the employee actually has to be sick to use them. I seriously doubt that the CA legislature intended these days to be a forced-by-the-employee extension of vacation time.

I understood that he wanted to pay for the medication up front and then be reimbursed by the insurance, in which case the insurance carrier makes the rules. But if he wanted to by-pass the insurance altogether, then I agree with you; the pharmacy can allow it but doesn't have to.

    No medication without insurance...

40 years experience with group medical insurance here: First of all; Is this legal? Yes. Your insurance policy is a contract. It says they will pay for certain items when certain conditions are followed. This is one of the conditions. What if I didn't have insurance? Then there wouldn't be a...

Worker Compensation vs long term disability

For workers comp in MN, the maximum time the law allows is six months after the onset of the illness or injury. Your specific policy might indicate a shorter time and that is acceptable under the law. Only someone from your HR or Benefits office can tell you for certain where the lines are drawn.
