What is going on down the street?

Yup, that's the message I got. Not just in the senior member area but in a couple of randomly chosen public areas too.

What is going on down the street?

I had the same thing happen this morning, Welkin; in fact, I was about to ask if anyone else was having trouble posting there. I'll email the owner. Maybe it will do some good. Maybe not.

What is going on down the street?

Sorry, I didn't realize that was the site you meant. Yes, I've been a member there for 16 years. I think Tax and Ron have explained the issue. I know that the owner has some personal situations that are taking a lot of his time. I don't know how long it will be before he is able to take an...

    Unpaid overtime

I getcha. Not a problem. Anything I wrote yesterday afternoon, both on the boards and at work, should probably be scrutinized for clarity.

    Unpaid overtime

I was (perhaps not successfully) distinguishing between a wage claim through the DOL (state or Federal) and any kind of contract claim in civil court. That was the intent; maybe I only made that distinction in my head, but I really and truly did make it there. :D At the time my post was time...

    Unpaid overtime

If this happened in 2017, you are past the SOL for any kind of wage claim.

    Retaliation?

Let's be clear. It is not illegal to have a poor, or even a toxic work environment. Nothing that you have described with regards to the treatment of the employees, however poor, gives rise to any legal claim whatsoever. To put it another way, if there is anything illegal in the way the employees...

    Retaliation?

In that case I'm going to backtrack a bit. I still don't believe you have a case for illegal retaliation under the laws that generally cover that, but you may have under the NLRA. I acknowledge that I was not thinking of that in my first post. I still think your best bet is through your union...

Woman Receives Dozens Of CO Unemployment Debit Cards In The Mail

My office does not manage unemployment benefits but we are positioned so that a lot of our employees do not realize that and come to us with unemployment questions. We also are a division of the office which does. So we were made aware of an identity theft scam that is at least state wide and...

    Retaliation?

What you have described is not ILLEGAL retaliation under the law. It may or may not be under your union contract. Unless there are facts you have not shared, any recourse is going to be through your union.

Harassment, Stalking, Misconduct Person isn't culpable

Y' know, sometimes life isn't fair. Sometimes you just have to do things that in a perfect world you wouldn't have to do. If hitting the block button more than once will solve the problem, that's going to be a lot simpler solution than any other.

PLEASE HELP! work issue is literally killing me

Like the other where I've seen your post, this forum focuses on US law, which is not the same (at least for employment law matters) as UK law. I know nothing about this forum except that it appears to be for the UK. **Read before obtaining employment law advice**

Can you drop out in New York state without parental consent?

I am in my other life a novelist so I have a good imagination. I cannot come up with a set of circumstances under which dropping out of school at 16 with no plans that you're willing to elucidate would be a good idea. So if you're looking for anyone to agree with you that you're on a good path...

Can you drop out in New York state without parental consent?

So as I understand it after reading your post here and elsewhere, your plan is to drop out of school but without a job; no plans to get a job for another two years; and just sit and home letting your parents feed and cloth you while you sit on your backside not making any efforts to improve...
