    It's a privacy issue. Convoluted but we had to keep our names off of public record. Recorded deed just in the name of the trust would have shown the trustees names. Thanks for your help, as always - much appreciated.

    Seems to me that you have a binding contract at the rate of $999 per month. Keep that locked up in a safe place and keep copies in case you have hand one over to somebody. Don't let loose of the original. When you next pay your rent, pay $999 and see how it goes.

    My daughter and I have an LLC that owns our home. The deed is in the name of the LLC. We have a Revocable Living Trust. The trust is 100% owner of the LLC. We live in the home and are not deriving any income. Do we have to file a federal income tax return?
