Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Minor in possesion of alcohol, 18 years old

What you did isn't severe enough to warrant a SCRAM (alcohol monitor). You don't want one, trust me. They're expensive. They're loud. They're obtrusive. Etc. Just realize you are teetering on the brink. One more mistake and your life will be ruled by the courts, as far as random drug testing...

Parole, Probation NY Probation, Ok to Work in NJ?

It's up to your probation officer and ultimately your Judge. . . I think you'll be OK. So many people live in NJ and work in NYC/NY and vice versa I'm sure there are instances where it is allowed. Good Luck.

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse Crooked cops.. Please help!!!

Is the this Tri-Metro narcotics squad? (Eaton, Clinton, Ingham Counties) They are notoriously corrupt. For FREE there are many criminal attorneys who can give you advice. Ask if they take up drug cases first. Make sure they are criminal attorneys and not jack of all trades. Michigan has a...

    Parole, Probation Probation Violation

Work release is a good thing. It just means they'll let him leave jail to go to work. . . that simple, but it shows they are somewhat trusting of him, otherwise they wouldn't allow work release. In the future, at the very least, he needs to set up an appointment if the probation officer isn't...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication 27 years without a d/l.

In Illinois you'll have to likely appeal your revocation before a hearing officer. I would hope they'd give it to you. Then, most likely, you'll have to have a year with a interlock device in your car. Then after that you'll have to go before a hearing officer, again, to see if you can have...

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI my daughter

. . . The Judges may also feel compelled by the M.A.D.D. lobby to give ever increasing stiffer sentences, as well as those mandated by new laws. It seems every year in Michigan the laws against drunk driving get stiffer, more severe, and give the Judges less flexibility in their sentences.

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI my daughter

That does sound like a severe sentence. I doubt the liver-disorder matters, what matters is what her real level was at the time of the accident. I'm unaware of any liver disorder that gives false elevated readings.

Possible outcomes vary wildly by region. Most likely amount of drug testing will increase in frequency. He may be forced to attend AA meetings. He may have to do/re-do Outpatient therapy. He'll likely have to pay a fine. He may have to do weekends in jail or longer, especially if he doesn't...

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI DUi- INTERLOCK

If you were in Michigan, I'd tell you this. You can get your interlock, and then monthly go to the shop and have them download your records. In MICHIGAN, afte a year has passed, your interlock automatically is taken off, but you will still have RESTRICTIONS. Best bet, get the device. If...

Assault & Battery What Would You Do?

I think you need to be brave and talk to the person's defense attorney, not spineless and week, letting a potentially innocent person go to jail.

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Embezzled 80k, no priors...What now?

I know of a woman in Ingham County, Michigan (Lansing) Who stole $30,000. The main thing for her and I guess the victims was that she set up a reasonable payment plan so they'll get their money back. She didn't do any jail time. She did have something like 2,000 hours community service to be...

Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse prescription drugs

I don't believe the officer, because your mother might be incapacitated, unable to drive to the store, because she's too sick. I would think if you pick them up, all the pills are there and in the bag from the pharmacist with receipt, you're fine.
