I'm filming an upcoming web series entitled "Brotherz". How do I go about trademarking the name so that no one else can use the title, if that's even possible. I'm new to all of this so I just want to be sure that my project is secure.

How would I know if they are legit firms? I'm afraid to pay anyone and then get screwed over at the end, with them taking my money and idea.
