Happened in california
Me and my friend was entering a big retail store and we stole bunch of games. I stole around 150 (< 200) worth of PC games and My friend took more but he got away ( he ran ). I stayed back and it's my first time getting in trouble and arrested. I pretty much have a clean record. I was scared so i told the police officer that we planned it out before coming in so i was charged with 182 a 1 pc, which means conspiracy to commit crime ( felony ) and 459 PC for Burglary.
I can't afford a lawyer so i'm going to court to ask for one.
My questions are:
How do i get a PD?
Will there be jail time if I fight my case? In other words whats the likely hood of getting jail time for a first time offender.
Is diversion program possible?
