Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication 2nd mip offense probation violation

I am an 18 year old girl who received an mip in march 2011. I got put on the michigan deferral program including 6 months probation, 2 hours court observation, 10 hours community service, and a class. I have completed the 10 hours of community service, however failed to attend the class on June 5. However, I received a second mip in may 2011. I called my PO and she informed me there is an online class I can complete but quickly changed word and said it was pointless to complete the rest of the program because of the violation. My court date for the second mip is june 15. Please help!!!!!!!!

You may wish to speak to an experienced criminal attorney. It was not a good idea to skip out on the June 5 class and I think you realize this now. Receiving a second MIP was absolutely the worst judgment - which I can't even begin to explain. With a second offense I do think that you do need a criminal attorney who will know how to handle matters. There is just no other way. At this point it is pointless to continue with a program if it's clear it's not helping you stop breaking the law. What do you think a judge will do after hearing you've taken a class in return for a deferral and then went out drinking again? You need a lawyer to help who specializes in problems like yours. You can't handle it yourself.
