Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft 2nd offense shoplifting in CO

I was caught shoplifting 2 years ago and I got a deferred judgment sentence, now I was caught again. Not going to make excuses, money is tight and I'm under financial stress. What should I expectake at my hearing?

Plead not guilty, make no statements or give any confessions, request a public defender, meet with your PD, try to fix this as best you can.

While this is pending, stay out of more trouble, otherwise, fixing it might not be possible.

You need to discuss this with a lawyer. However; if you can't afford one, then ask the court if they will appoint a public defender for you. The lawyer/public defender should get you the best outcome possible.

As a retail theft consultant I had a client in a similar situation. I advised him to take and complete the NASP Anti Shoplifting program (found online) and complete it before court. He did so showed Judge and the Judge was so pleased with his actions he dismissed his case on the spot no probation! I cannot say you will see same results but it cant hurt.
