My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
Okay so here are the charges:
487(a) pc/F
grand theft/labor/property 400+
what are the consequences for first time offense?
previous charges of robbery but charges were dropped.
KMART says $10,000 was lost ( guessing merchandise or store profit)
p.s It all went down in TORRANCE.... court is at torrance courthouse next month, what could she expect?
alright so heres the story, a few months ago a friend of mine went to jail for robbery. She and some of her friends robbed some guy and thought they got away with it...well they didnt take his cell phone and he got down the license plate. well eventually the cops came looking for her, she & her other friend turned themselves in and since she was the oldest she was going to be charged with 4 counts of robbery, assualt with a deadly weapon and some other **** cuz she was with minors. well her friend decided to take the blame just so she wouldnt lose her job and her house n husband. that was 4 months ago. So recently she caught a new case... she was stealing from her job. KMART... and her job told her that they have been watching her and they charged her with grand theft and supposably the store lost about $10,000. Shes out on O.R right now, and shes tryna figure out whats gonna happen, even though the charges were dropped on her last robbery case it will still come up on her record right? And since the judge is going to see that its a routine that shes always robbing someone or stealing wont he give her some kind of time? She thinks shes gna get a slap on the wrist and have to pay a fine. Does anyone know what the chances could be...jail time or what?
