Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft A friend and I caught shoplifting

so a friend and I were caught shoplifting at walmart today. A security guard stopped me and told me to follow him to the office where they already had my friend. I had $28 worth of makeup and they took that and asked if it was my first time being caught and I said yes. they took our ID's and filled out a sheet which was then put in a folder. he asked if we were going to do it again and we said no and he told us we were free to go. The police werent involved and they didnt say anything about charges or anything. later i text my friend and she said he told her he was going to let her go but since he didnt say anything to me, Im wondering if Ill still get into some kind of trouble.

You should get a letter of Civil Demand asking for money. Pay this and the event shoud be over with no further actions from store. Dont pay it and they could take several actions none of them good for you

So they can send a Civil Demand without me having signed anything?

Keep in mind this is only an estimate. My guess is it will be between $250.00 and $350.00
