I was arrested for possession of marijuana and its my first time getting into trouble with the cops. I'm nervous because I don't know what is going to happen when I go to court tomorrow.

I was arrested for possession of marijuana and its my first time getting into trouble with the cops. I'm nervous because I don't know what is going to happen when I go to court tomorrow.

Be on time, dress neatly, stay calm, be polite (yes sir or ma'am, yes or no your honor) plead not guilty when you are called, make no statements, do not confess, do not apologize, and ask for a court appointed lawyer.

Eventually meet with your lawyer and discuss your case, being sure to ask about a diversionary program, if you get convicted.

Stay out of additional trouble, and seek enrollment in a drug abuse class, and leave that stinky weed alone forever, or at least until this matter has been put to rest.
