Trying to help my girlfriend's son out here. He moved into an apartment in Pennsylvania with his girlfriend. Side note: no lease signed, just verbal agreements. She moved out about 6 months ago, leaving 90+% of her stuff still there. Since then, she has not been back to retrieve any of her stuff. He has continued living there and now would like all her stuff gone. He wants to bring it over to his mom's house for storage purposes till she picks it up. 1) can he legally do this? 2) How long do we have to store it for before it could be considered abandoned? 3) With no way for us to contact her, could we serve her mother the 10 day notice and 30 day grace period PA sets forth for abandoned property?
