Accusations of domestic violence

My boyfriend and I were in the car fighting, hands were in the air flying from being irate and I was crying. He kept slamming on the brakes and pulling off to the side of the road and then getting back into traffic. Of course we got pulled over because there were calls to the cops. We got pulled over had to talk and then we were sent on our way and told if this happened again then it would have to be sent to the prosecutor. Well then this morning one of the officers came to my home and did a follow up. He said that there was another caller that said he saw my boyfriend repeatedly hit me. The caller said he saw this from behind. The officer said the caller was very adamant and would testify in court. So anyway, the state of Michigan is pressing charges. Which is ridiculous because I can't seem to understand how someone can see something like that from behind! Also because I do not want to press charges, I just want my life to go back to normal. We are waiting on a call from the officer to let us know if there is a warrant for my boyfriend. I just don't know what to do. How can one day they say everything is fine and the next morning this happen?

What can you do?
Call a bail bondsman, ask him or her to look into this, and advise you how much THUMPER'S bail will be.
Then you and THUMPER can get his bail together, so THUMPER won't have to be in jail too long.
You and THUMPER can also investigate getting THUMPER a lawyer, because what happens now isn't up to you.
You keep saying THUMPER didn't hit, 'cause you want your life back.
The other citizen can tell his or her story.

Next time THUMPER wants to slap you around, hands int he air and all, tell the genius to do it in the privacy of your home.
