A friend of mine was accused of stealing 6,000.00 after he was fired from his job at a used car lot. he was questioned by the police and released. Now almost 2 years later, the car lot's insurance company is trying to sue him for almost double the amount that the former employer is saying was taken. he did not take the money. My question is: If there were any proof at all that he committed this theft, wouldn't the prosecuting attorney have filed formal charges almost 2 years ago? How can this be? There is absolutly nothing that even comes close to prooving he stole this money.
