Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Adjudication withheld in Florida?

I was arrested for petty theft in Florida 6 years ago, it was under $10. The judge made me pay a small fine and that was it, no probation,etc. I was given adjuication withheld. I was told by the judge that this was not a "conviction". I now have a pending job with an airline that requires a Canadian Entry Visa. No convicted criminal may obtain entry before 10 years without paying a fine and going through a lengthy process(the money isn't the issue,but the time..). So I'm confused and not too sure on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
