i have a 17 month old who is supposed to have a 1 hour a week supervised visit with her father at our county court house BUT he has not been showing up.

the 1st time the visitation schedule was set up, it was on saturdays 8:45-9:45 am. the process was for a 3 month span & my daughters father only showed up twice a.(meanwhile i still had to transport my child to the program every saturday wether he showed up or not. i do not have a car so that means carrying a baby, diaperbag, pocketbook, and stroller on the bus ... the visits were in the winter, we had to walk in rain, snow, sleet, ice & deal with the cold wether during early morning time). When we went to court to review the case he told the judge he didnt need supervised visits, so the visits were cancelled with hopes of him & i mutually agreeing to a parenting plan. this didn' wrok out (because he was arrested for domestic violence act against me) and now he has taken me to court a 2nd time for visitation (he doesnt want to be in her life, just wants to aggrivate me)

now the visits are tuesdays 6pm-7pm which does not fit into my schedule. i dont get home from work until 5:30pm (my daughters father does not work) BUT told the judge he couldnt fit saturdays into his work schedule "with no proof of work".
When i get home, im tired, hungry & then i have to lug this heavy baby to the bus stop, on the bus and to the court house with the stroller, diaperbag & my purse). i told the judge that the schedule was un-reasonable because of my work schedule but of course the judges always have to make it hard on the parent who's doing the right thing...

is there anyway i can get the visitation schedule cancelled?
-- i know for a fact that my daughters father isn't going to show for any of the scheduled visits. He violated out Final Restraining Order and now has a warrant for arrest.

You can always ask the court to change the schedule.

It might be smart to get another location closer to your home.

But, do not stop showing up because he isn't showing.

As soon as you do that, CONTEMPT proceedings will be filed against you by this vindictive slug.

Follow teh order, and yes, you can request it to be changed.
