My common law husband and I were leasing a house and he put me and our kids out christmas eve so I am not living there anymore however I am on the lease. Is there anything I can do to get my name off the lease?
Legally, he cannot just throw you out. You do not have to leave. I would talk to an attorney.
In the meantime, I would advise the landlord that you are no longer living there because he threw you out, and see if they will remove you from the lease.
