If I have a boy friend who is 18 and I am a 17 year old female is it legal for us to be together under the New York State law with out my mother's consent ?

While the age of consent in NY state might be 17, other laws can apply if your adult boyfriend encourages you to defy your parents so that you can go out and practice starting a family. So, while the intercourse might not be unlawful, the surrounding actions might well result in criminal charges for him.
