Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Alcohol In Home for International Student

Hi,

I am a French Citizen and I was brought up drinking wine and beer at home with my parents and such. If they leave the house, and I still drink wine, can I be charged if the police want to cite me?

I am 20 years old. Drinking age in France is 18 in Bars, though not enforced. Are there any clauses that I can recite to the Police if they want to come to my house and arrest me for underage consumption.

There is a popular saying………….. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do!" French law does not apply here, so just respect current US laws.
