4 years ago when i was 20, my friends and i had an "almost" MIP encounter with a campus police officer. However, it was Thanksgiving eve and the officer was kind enough to let us go with a warning. He did take our names down but did not issue us any citations. Now as i am applying to Law Schools right now, I want to 100% sure that my name is clear from any MIP incidents. HOw do i go about finding that out? The encounter took place in NJ, but i am in Texas now. So Is there like a background check website where i can request my record as a minor which would have all the information about MIp, if applicable. PLEASE HELP!!!

No Arrest, No Record.

If you were not arrested, there should be no record.

Law Schools may asked if you ever have been arrested or convicted of a crime, but I am not aware of any who ask if you almost were arrested or if you ever were stopped by an officer but were not thereafter arrested.

I wouldn't worry about it. Based on your post, you never were arrested or charged with a crime and, therefore, you honestly can based your responses thereon.

If there are specific questions about which you are most concerned, feel free to email them to me and I would be glad to help you out in answering them.
