Am I liable for the money?

I have a friend who asked me to get her money from an ATM. she gave me her card and her PIN. i withdrew the money and gave her the card and the money later that evening. she claims i never gave her the money and now wants to file charges (per the bank). am i liable for money? can i be charged with any type of crime even though i gave her the money and she provided her PIN? thanks

Unless you can prove to the courts that you didn't do that, it looks like you are going to be facing a judge...

Sounds like you were set up big time. Talk to a Lawyer and when this is over sue!

I would not panic until you know for sure she has made a police report. Even then you might consider waiting to see if charges are even brought. Many DAs are not going to pursue a case like this without some form of corroboration.
