Any suggestions?

My jurisdiction is: NV

My uncle and aunt has been hitting the door at night while I sleep until I start sleep talking for a month.

Examine this letter and tell me legally what are the ramifications:

"You both are feeble. I'm not letting me be stooped down to your level again. You are sick to get pleasure and satisfaction from someone suffering. I know you're trying to incite fear by pressing the door but I have a 12-gauge shotgun and I will shoot you if you walk upstairs to me and I feel my life is in danger. I will not read any responding letters you write and will only archive it and give it to my lawyer. Thank you for your cooperation."

Legal ramifications in what respect?

You need to get out of that situation, NOW, and all of you should seek psychological help.

I seriously have to agree with Dee_Dub...the situation you are in is absolutely incorrect, and your response to it is neither appropriate nor effective. The suggestion, with regard to the letter, is throw it away and do not take such a passive-aggressive bluff type approach. If you have an issue with your aunt and uncle, approach them like an adult. Talk to them about it, don't make empty -and I truly hope that they are empty- threats to them. You could not justify feeling "in danger of your life" over them knocking on the door when you are sleeping. If you could, then it would give cause for every person in America to shoot the knicker-Knocking 12 year old running down the street.

Your approach to this is completely wrong, and I have a feeling that you just have not found out, in your how many ever years you have been on this earth, how to deal with people. If you can not talk to them about it, and they do not respect that it really bothers you, then move. I am assuming that you are a grown man, and can make your own way in your own home, away from your aunt and uncle.

What is an alternative sentence to let them know that I have a shotgun and am able to defend myself? Some other things they've done: rev the car outside while I sleep, bang utensils in the kitchen, slam doors, making fire alarm beeping noises, in fact they're doing it right now, and have been doing it all day for five days. I've barely gotten any sleep because I start sleep talking when I go to sleep.

You need to get rid of that gun and get some help for your mental problems.

Letting them know that you have a gun and are prepared to use it is simple. Your letter as is would do that.

You asked about legal ramifications. If you are thinking your letter will result in a finding of "not guilty" by reason of self-defence or justifiable homicide or whatever in the event you shoot them for walking up the stairs, you are sorely mistaken. It will not.

Your aunt and uncle appear to be bent on making your life miserable while you live there. The proper response is not to warn them and then shoot them but to move out. Get out, get rid of the gun, and seek help.
