Apartment lease was a corporate lease but they placed a judgment against me personall

The apartment lease was in my boyfriend's company's name and I lived there. We were evicted for non-payment and they filed a judgment against me. Can they do that since my name wasn't on the lease? I signed the lease since I lived there. but I have all the documentation showing they approved the lease as a corporate lease.

Your posting is confusing; you write that your name wasn't on the lease yet you also state you signed the lease.

Leases are typically contracts where anyone who signs is "jointly and severally" responsible should even one person owe rent. In other words, management will go after any adult whose name is on the lease.

Who was supposed to be responsible for paying the rent?
